Annette Dumas

Annette DumasOver the past 12 years, Annette Dumas has been involved in political and policy work. Currently, she is acting as the EU Public Affairs Officer for Alzheimer Europe, the umbrella organisation of Alzheimer associations in Europe, having previously worked with a European patient NGO (European Patients' Forum) and for one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies (Merck Sharp & Dohme, Inc.).

Annette supports Alzheimer Europe in making dementia a European public health priority. She is responsible for the organisation's strategy on EU  health, social and research policies, legislation and measures that affect people with dementia and their carers. She facilitated the setting up of the European Alzheimer's Alliance in the European Parliament.

Annette's areas of expertise are EU public health, NGO and patient advocacy, disease awareness campaigns and inclusion of specific diseases in the EU public health legislation.

Annette has participated in European conferences and roundtables, either as a speaker or as a member of the organising committee. She has also published articles in professional and EU publications.
