Alex McKeown

Alex McKeownAlex is based at the Genetic Interest Group in London, and is co-ordinator for the EuroGenGuide project and its team. Alex is the primary point of contact for all EuroGenGuide matters.

Having achieved a BA in Philosophy and an MA in Healthcare Ethics from the University of Leeds, Alex moved to London in late 2006, where he began working for GIG shortly after. A keen interest in ethics and science, and in particular, in new developments in genetic technologies, have equipped him well for this role.

Alex hopes to ensure that EuroGenGuide is a useful and far-reaching resource for all those affected by genetic disease across Europe, and that it can help to provide a means for new tests, therapies and treatments to reach those who need them the most and who do not currently know how to access them, from the point of view of both patients and health professionals alike.

If you have any questions about EuroGenGuide and would like to get in touch, please feel free to contact him via the details below.
