Tina Funnell
Tina Funnell has worked for nearly 30 years with a range of patient organisations initially as Chief Executive of the National Eczema Society and the Skin Care Campaign, and was also the patient adviser to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Skin.
Tina was one of the founders of the Long Term Medical Conditions Alliance and has been active on European Patient Issues as well as with the Cochrane Collaboration. She has worked with the NHS at national and regional level, and was a Board Member of the National Clinical Assessment Authority as well as a member of Council of the Nursing and Midwifery Council. She was a lay member of the Richard Neale Inquiry and now Chairs Investigation Panels for the NMC. She was the Organising Secretary of the Health Coalition Initiative for ten years and now is the Patient Engagement Officer for Patient Opinion.
Tina is also a City of York Councillor, and last year chaired the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee, and is now Chair of the Children and Young Persons Scrutiny Committee. She is a keen gardener, enjoys international travel, walking in the Yorkshire Dales, reading, history and current affairs.
